I do also have some fake fur that I was thinking about applying all over the figure but I am not sure if this will look right – another big risk I guess. Painting realistic animal paint is kind of tricky. I then brought back the purple from the pants for the tattoo like designs on his back. I did not care for the purple pants and wanted a more Earth-like tone and more contrast knowing that it will have a darker look in my version. I am staying pretty close to how the toy looked beforehand it seems.

I started to paint the figure before I knew what movie it was from. I get taken out of the picture quicker that way than anything else, what a shame. Ah, who cares it’s all about money anyways. Sure that is a sweet gig but at what cost to the story. A quick look down at his feet will revel he is in his pajamas and barefoot like a tubby Peter Jackson directing.
I can just picture him reading the lines while munching on some Cheetos and drinking ginger ale. When I see this movie all I hear is Jack Black rambling on afraid to stop talking as if somebody would not hire him if he did keep quiet – ah actors. I love the cartoons where the voice actors remain behind the scenes it created the illusion that the characters being animated were real to me. And especially these days when producers hire not talented career focused voice-actors but the biggest or well-known star they can find to be in the picture.Ĭountless animated movies promote the stars that are in them rather than the actual story which is often very lacking. Besides my thoughts on losing the charm and character of hand animated cartoons I find I am distracted by the actors who voice their characters. Nothing much has changed, just technical power and even that seems less dramatic than when Toy Story first came out.
To me, it’s the same as all the other animated movies created after Toy Story hit the scene with its CGI animated bliss. Now I am not a fan of this movie for many nerd-like reasons. It’s really amazing to see a toy painted in contrast to the normal unpainted way we always see them. That is what I think when I’m digging through dusty and dirty toy bins at random garage sales. 25 cents in a garage sale along with many other toys. A movie with fighting animals with human personalities using the ancient fighting style of Kung Fu! What could go wrong?!?!? Well let’s take a bite of some bamboo and find out as I work on painting this McDonalds toy premium.
